@User Review #4 Karen,

I have never heard of Bistro MD, but I am interested in it because of you. As I type this, it is 3:48am and I just finished eating 3 pieces of pound cake. I am 28, 5'8", 275lbs and have hypertension. I need help. My doctor just says "Eat right and exercise". If it was that easy, then no one would be overweight. I need structure. I don't have a lot of extra money every month but i'm willing to sacrifice something in order to be on this plan if it really works. Thanks for your review.

When I started Bistro MD 6 weeks ago, I was 239. I'm 44 and 6'0." I'm the girl who will get off the couch at 11:00 PM after a Taco Bell Commercial and hit the drive-through. I'll get three egg rolls with my carry out Chinese. Sometimes for dinner, I'd eat a large bad of chips and a whole jar of queso. I seldom deprived myself. My point is that I really love food. I really think "adiction" is the right word.

I'm down to 219, but I haven't been exercising, and I've had a couple days in those 6 weeks of "beer with the girls" and "dinner out, no restraints." I also spent Thanksgiving in another state without my food for four days surrounded by drinks and food where I indulged a bit. Twenty pounds in 6 weeks with these indiscretions surely isn't bad. However, I am developing more self-control, and it isn't as painful as it used to be.

I had to follow a program where I was satisfied with the flavor and didn't feel hungry. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The variety and creative seasonings and side dishes made me "ummmmm." Besides being tasty, blanced, and healthy, it's quick and easy. That was another problem for me. Being single and super busy, I only have to take care of me--so I didn't. I'm at a point after 20 pounds where I'm ready to see where exercise will take me now too. I do have more energy.

The light at the end of the tunnel is visible. I have hope. I know it's possible now. My attitude has changed. My behaviors are changing, and that doesn't happen over night. I'm looking at food differently: when I eat, how much I eat, what I eat, and how it will affect me.

It's super expensive, but it's helping me change my behaviors. I needed this. I was out of control for too long. I want to look good, feel good, and not be a slave to the pleasure of eating.

This is so easy to do. I love that the meals are planned for each day. The food is delicious and very good quality. For once, I'm actually looking forward to every meal!
