I recently went to my JC centre in my hometown and it turned into a living nightmare. I have a lifetime membership and wanted to lose about 20 lbs. Now I have been denied being eligible because I told my consultant that I was cutting back on dairy, citrus, and onions due to heartburn that I was treated for a few years ago. They ruled me ineligible although my doctor said I could do Jenny Craig and had no dietary restrictions. These were just some restrictions that I place on myself. It has been a living nightmare. I called corporate headquarters and they said once I am ruled ineligible that is it. So now I'm having them fax me a form that I can take to my doctor's office to get the ineligible released from my lifetime membership. Then on the other hand maybe this program is not for me . There is no love and care to be had at Jenny Craig.

I lost 15lbs on Jenny Craig after 1 year and about $6,000! That was my goal weight and I would lose a lb one week then gain a lb the following week. I basically stayed on it as maintenance. I was afraid if I did not eat the food i would gain the weight back. Once my year was up they wanted me to spend alot of money to become a lifetime member. I told them I was way over my budget, but if they could waive that fee I would consider staying on the program. They did not agree to do that, so I stopped the program. My wallet was happy. I got so caught up in the program that I never took the time to realize how truly much I was spending. And As I expected, without binging~I gained 12lbs back! I am so happy to announce that after a lot of research I have joined Nutrisystem at a fraction of the cost (you can get 5 weeks of nutrisystem for $259.99). Save your money. Jenny Craig consultants really don't care about you personally, they just need to meet their monthly quota on food and memberships. .....And basically it's about portion control and exercise daily!

I have been a member of Jenny Craig and have now lost about 30 pounds and agree it is extremely expensive but decided it was the way to go because of the one on one. Recently they fired the manager or she quit I'm not sure and hired another manager that is way out of shape herself and another consultant that is also way out of shape. Now please understand I'm also out of shape as well and don't mean to say mean things in that direction but how in the world can you look someone in the eye and tell them to do this or that to loose weight when they really need to look in a mirror themselves. In my opinion a consultant and especially the manager needs to be a role model in a diet control atmosphere not someone that looks worse than you do. Also had to wait for 35 minutes in the lounge and got no service the last time I was there so I left and called and left a message to the Minnesota director and 1 week later have not heard anything in return. Needless to say I am moving on and would not recommend Jenny Craig to anyone......
