I was a consultant for Jenny Craig, but quit after a year because, in good conscience, I couldn't continue badgering my clients to purchase everything under the sun just to justify my existence as an employee. Jenny consultants are evaluated just like any other sales person, by how much they sell. They follow what I considered to be extremely rude and hurtful scripts to embarrass former clients into getting "back on board" after being absent from the program. . .believe me. . .they keep track of who you are. When a consultant is evaluated, they are not judged for their effectiveness as counselors (although Jenny would argue that point), but instead their sales are totaled and subject to review. What finally did it for me was the bad (and medically unsound) advice that another consultant continued to give to her clients, despite my objections. I was never so miserable in my life as I was working at Jenny Craig. Lesson learned.

I have been in both Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem programs, second time around for Jenny Craig. It is true that Jenny Craig is more expensive, but the food is better and you do have someone in person to consult with when needed. I found that I did not like the Nutrisystem dried food that you had to add water with. Jenny Craig's food is like what you would by the grocery store. I only lost about 10lbs with the Nutrisystem after two months and gained it back quickly. With Jenny Craig I lost more and kepy it off for over 15 years. Just stay away from Slimgenics very expensive and they push their supplements and extas.

This is BY FAR the EASIEST and BEST diet I have ever tried! I am an extremely active fit person, but and emotional eater, who over eats and is addicted to sugar and fat. On my worst days I was probably eating up to 4000 calories a day. I exercise 4-6 days a week, and the only reason I wasn't totally fat based on my bad eating habits. In my first week on Jenny Craig I lost 7.5 lbs so 160 lbs to about 153. I feel amazing! MOST of the food I find extremely tasty. I did the math- if you eat out a lot or buy quality food, Jenny isn't any more expensive than what I normally spend on food. It is worth every penny. I am also eating more fruits and vegetables than ever, and think I will be able to maintain the great portion control and snacking habits. You have to look at it like Jenny is teaching how to eat, its not a miracle, you have to learn and change for anything to be successful. I would recommend this to anyone. Easy, takes the stress out of dieting when you have such an easy tasty road map... Would be great for moms trying to loose baby weight too. Remember intense exercise will double your weight loss. All you couch potatoes should try it, lol ALSO- Did 20 lbs for $20, plus about $120 a week for food. Don't know what all the fuss is about being crazy expensive. Didn't get any sales pressure at all...
