My daughter and I are trying to choose between Jenny Craig or Nutrisystem. Here we go........

I was on Nutrisystem 12 years ago when they had their business at specific locations. I lost the 78 pounds I was supposed to lose. I kept most of it off for a long time, but slowly got complacent and eventually gained back 20-25 pounds. I stopped following their program, so it was no fault of Nutrisystem, just mine alone.

I am ready to get back on a weight loss program, but am having trouble deciding which one to go with. I have used Weight Watchers and I really like them, but it does not work for me. I'm the kind of person who needs portion control sizes and a set structure to go by.

I like Jenny Craig because they had two famous women lose weight and they did great (Kirstie and Valerie). Hard to ignore the positive impression when you see them and how well they have done. Now Queen Latifa has bit the bullet and has joined the Jenny wagon.

Weighing the pros and cons of both and after a lot of thought (and probably because I had past success with them), I am leaning towards Nutrisystem.

My experience with JC has been nothing but a total success.

I've lost 89 pounds to date and my Sciatica issues have disappeared with the weight loss.

The plan was the jump start that I needed....the counselor is terrific....weekly weighing in keeps me focused.

The cost is a bit more than I might have incurred at the grocery store but well worth it

Go Jenny!!

Thanks to all. I have been trying to decide between Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem. After researching both diet programs, the choice for me is clear. I will go with Nutrisystem.

I have visited both websites and Nutrisystem is cheaper ($293 for 28 day food supply with FREE shipping). Plus you get 3 weeks FREE food (one week per each of the first 3 shipments). The only reason I was leaning more towards Jenny Craig going into this was because I have 100+ pounds to lose and I thought the weekly consultations and weigh-in would help me be more disciplined.

After reading all the comments about problems with the Jenny Craig counselors, it doesn't justify spending twice as much on their program!! I will go with Nutrisystem. Thanks!
