I had thought about doing Jenny Craig a couple years ago. I called the number because we don't have a center close to where I live. When I asked about the prices, I felt like I was pressured to give them my information and automatically purchase the program. I went ahead and did, but then the next day called because I felt trapped and cancelled. They definitely used high pressure sales tactics and I am glad that I didn't use them.

I joined JC seven months and forty pounds ago. In the past, I had tried other programs, like WW. Although I was successful, I regained the wieght. I felt that these programs never actually taught you the right way to eat. It was all about points and how much food you could fit into it. I learned nothing. The JC program has taught me the three basics of losing and maintaining wieght, calorie count, portion control and excercise. As for the cost, I would throw away more food, trying to be healthyand then not eating it, than I spend on this program. I would recommend it to any who is serious about changing thier food lifestyle.

Oh My Goodness! I kept reading about JC after I posted my last comment and I'm shocked! This is NOT the same place I worked. First, *at least* 75 times I worked there someone would come in and say they tried Nutrisystem but the food was AWEFUL! They were very pleased with Jenny's food. NO ONE, repeat NO ONE is supposed to be hungry on the JC plan!!! If someone was, I *always* looked at their calorie level and how much they were exercising. Sometimes I needed to up someone's calorie level b/c their exercise increased so much they were hungry or we looked at whether they were "head hungry" or Tummy Hungry and worked from there. Like I said, THE PLAN WORKS. I've done it myself - (I took off my baby weight, then gained some back, and then took it off again). ALSO, I referred Weight Watchers to people who I thought wouldn't fit into Jenny's plan - people who loved to cook and had the time and wanted more freedom. Again, almost everyone who ever walked into my office said "I don't want to have to think". There was always help for 'transitioning' to eating your own food - the 1/2 point, maintenance, eating on vacation, going out to dinner...It sounds like some of you never even got that far, but it was stated up front. YES, the food is expensive. I totally agree! But, once again, look at your eating out habits.How often you ate out (and how much $$ you really spent) I had people who were indignant about giving up cream in their coffee....once again, if *you're* not going to change, WE couldn't do it FOR you! I'm not angry, I'm just really surprised at how much negativity there is on here about Jenny. No weight loss plan is perfect. But it's a 2-way street.
