Jenny Craig Reviews

I visited my local Jenny Craig center. The consultant I got was extremely nice, too nice.

She took my before pictures, and my weight before she even took me back to her office, which was my first clue that she was going to be pushy. We went through everything: name date of birth etc.... took about a half hour, and it kind of made me feel like I was signing up for something that I just wanted to find out about.

Just made me feel uncomfortable the entire time. I asked about 6 times about how much it usually runs and she would absolutely avoid the question. She got down to the food part, and there was this form I had to fill out.

I informed her that I'm a picky eater, and she started to get irritated, there is an allergy section of the form. I told her that I didn't have an allergy but I am lactose intolerant. I was sure that was fine because I figured you could choose your food so I would choose things that had little dairy. I told her I can have dairy just not a lot, and I take over the counter medicine for if I am going to eat it.

You could see the livid expression on her face, like I destroyed her entire world. So she entered it into the computer as an allergy, and it denied me. So again I told her it wasn't an allergy, and she started to argue with me. She told me she couldn't help me! and basically was pushing me out of her office to get on to the next person so she could make a dollar.

She went to get her boss/manager who was about to ask about me being lactose intolerant. This lady was much nicer, but she still said I was a liability and I couldn't join the program, but she would get me a cook book, and a book about healthy choices. Well......she disappeared, I was almost shoved out the door, because my consultant had no use for me anymore. I was insulted!

All I wanted was to see about the program, instead I felt like I was on a job interview, and I wasn't qualified enough. For such a big corporation you would think they would have options for people. I didn't even have an allergy, so I guess you have to be perfect and have no health issues what so ever like diabetes,no allergies, or a lactose intolerance to join jenny craig.Wow! That excludes alot of people doesnt it?

I later joined nutrisystem, with no hassle, no weekly phone calls or weigh ins, and lost 34lbs...Thanks Jenny! Lol!

I love Jenny Craig! I have lost 30 pounds and kept if off for 3 years with the maintenance program. The food is awesome and you dont have to eat anything you do not like. The individual counselilng keeps me accountable and on the right track and my counselor is wonderful. I spend about $120.00 a month for maintenance foods that I use to supplement my regular meals. If you are concerned with costs they offer a lot of their foods at a lower price than others. I tried a Nutrisystem meal one time and it was horrible.

I went in to my local Jenny Craig office and met with a "consultant," who signed me up for all sorts of extra food products and a pedometer. The woman had the warmth and charm of an overly-used dog bed that had been left outside by the trash for too long.

When I received a whopping figure of $175 per week (just for THEIR food), I almost passed out. My "consultant" immediately deducted items from my food list to lower the cost and I thought, "This is a complete joke. When I told this woman that the price was exorbitant regardless (I never spend this much money at the grocery), she got snotty and this made it so much easier to just walk away.
