Jenny Craig Reviews

Wow, I was thinking of trying the Jenny Craig home program but was told my membership fee was $199, which I didn't think was bad until I was told the overall total was $763.49 for the first month!

Yeah right... Guess I'll try nutrisystem.

I used to work for Jenny Craig and am glad I no longer do. For the most part I don't think they "lie" to you about their program. You have to remember, just like being a car sales person or being in any other competative type of sales position, the ladies & gentleman that sell you the program make commission and of course they want you to purchase their most expensive program. Honestly, if you buy the "Trial" programs and stay with Jenny Craig until you either loose the weight you want to loose if you have much to loose or until you are about to go into maintenance you will actually be spending much much more than you would have if you purchased their "premium" package.

I can vouch 1st hand that 99% of the consultants that I know and knew have been on the heavier side or have had some type of weight to loose. Each of them have a story just like we do and they genuinely care about your weigh loss goals. Yes the food may be expensive, but if you go to the grocery store, buy 7 frozen meals from Weigh Watchers or Lean Cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, purchase your vitamin suppliment, your "healthy" snacks, your fresh fruits, veggies and your skim milk, you'll most likely be spending the same as you would at Jenny Craig or more with a lot more work on your part.

I have been gone from JC for about a year now and am going to go back because I've tried a couple of the other programs and failed miserably because their food was bad tasting or just not what it was made out to be. I can't do WW because I suck at counting calories and weighing food.

Not every program is for everyone...we are all different. Every program is costly...every program requires work/exersize...

Just a comment on User #205/Deb, it's $49 to Renew each year no matter what membership you've purchased unless you are a true "LIFETIME" member from many many years ago. When you signed up for the Rewards program (if that's the one you are talking about with the 10%, 20%, 30% or the 35% off your weekly food purchases) you still have to renew your program every year for $39 unless they upped that price to $49. With the new "Premium" program they have you don't get discounts off your food except for the 1st day you sign up and at your 1/2 way goal and it's 50% off that weeks food order, nothing else or nothing more. That all should have been explained to you. They also call incesinly to have you renew your membership. Many people stick their noses up at it then get ticked off when they go to use their expired programs because they didn't renew when they should have. That's not their fault if you choose to not call them back, not renew or just stop going back. I'm not trying to sound rude, I just remember spending hours calling the clients I signed up and they would be mean to me when I'd done nothing wrong but do what I told them I'd do in the first place.

Just my opinion! Good luck to you all with your weight loss no matter what program you decide to go with!

I am a lifetime membership at Jenny Craig, have lost baby weight successfully after both my kids. Most of their food is 10 time better than Nutrisystem, I just spent $340 on a months worth of food for Nutrisystem, just to see how the food was and I needed a change. I found most of the food totally unedible. The breakfast muffins are disgusting. Sure they offer more food at Nutrisystem, but you cannot compare the food. Jenny Craigs food blows it away, I rather spend the extra money. But I get 30% off all my orders their for being a lifetime member so they do offer discounts
