Jenny Craig Reviews

I joined Jenny Craig and there's not much counseling going on. I make more suggestions then they do! I have lost weight but I think the food is way too expensive.

I rarely comment on web sites, however after reading some of these reviews I felt compelled to add my opinion. The person that said they tried to cancel an order with Jenny Craig but was told they couldn't because it had already been shipped, has their diet programs confused. Jenny Craig doesn't ship food. That would be Nuti System. All Jenny Craig's food is at their center, and you take it with you. They also said the food was very small portions. duh! That's why all of us are paying for someone to portion control our eating. We aren't disciplined to do it for ourselves, or we wouldn't be over weight. Also, I think the food tastes great! It is expensive, but aren't they all. And I think it's a little silly to blame someone else for MAKING you spend more money than you wanted to spend. How about having a mind of your own and making your own decisions. Needless to say, I've had a good experience with Jenny Craig. I haven't alwasys kept my weight off, but that's my fault, not their's. You can't go on doing the same things you've always done and expect a different result. People with a weight problem have to learn to eat differently than they did in the past, or they will gain it all back, the way I have done a few times in my life. No one puts the food in my mouth except me.

The program really teaches you portion size and guides you away from carbs and meats and into more vegetables and fruit which does work. Following their recommendations I was not hungry and I ate all day losing weight. My sister and I have been on it for 3 months and lost over 50 lbs collectively. However, we did not go back after the first month. The food was absurdly expensive and we both felt as others have commented that the advisor's were nothing but food salespersons, no teaching but more of "doing a good job" comment on visits. Had I had plenty of money I might have stayed with their food for convenience, it was good, but there are better ways to do it. The grocery stores have similar products for more than half the price and I'm much better off learning to follow their recommendations and learn to cook within the guidelines. It did give us the boost to start, taught us how to eat, but a terribly expensive way to go, I would not recommend it for the price we paid unless you've won the lotto.
