Medifast Diet Reviews

I've been on Medifast for 6 weeks now and have lost 25 lbs. The loss is on and off but steady! I still have a lot to lose but it works. You just need to stick to it! After your body adjusts (3-5 days) you really don't get hungry... The only thing that drives me crazy is that you have to drink tons of water and have to pee constantly! Give it a shot! You won't be disappointed!

I have become a health coach for Medifast with Take Shape for Life. I have tried Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers, Adkins, Sugar Busters and many others. Always lost weight (sometimes at a large out lay of cash) but never kept it off.

I have been on Medifast since January 2011. Only(?) needed to lose about 20 to 25 pounds. Had very high body fat. My body fat has gone down 8 to 9%, I have lost over 5 inches around my waist, and between 19 and 21 pounds. When I follow the program perfect I always lose, but sometimes I cheat. I like my red wine. We eat out at least once a week and sometimes more. Just got back from a 12 day vacation not following the plan at all and gained a whole 2/10ths a pound.

The Medifast program works because it is a lifestyle change - not just a diet.

RE: Kristin's comment on January 6th, 2011. Can you eat out? How's it different?

YES you absolutely can go out to eat. My husband & I eat out about once a week. We choose something from the menu for our "lean & green" meal. We know what a portion size is, choose extra veggies instead of rice or potatoes, get a salad & opt out of bread. Super easy & delicious (the lean & green). The rest of the meals are not bad. Esp. when you add spices to your own taste.

For us, it's an extremely convenient meal plan. Works with hubby's golf tournament schedule. He's gone from 12 Rx pills per day to 1.5 for Type II Diabetes, hypertension & cholesterol. He's completely off 2 meds. All his numbers are now in the low end of normal w/in 3 months of starting Medifast.

What's different is the Take Shape for Life component. 1) a personal Health Coach (free) 2) Transition plan & 3) Maintenance plan to maintain a healthy lifestyle & weight. 3 months: I've lost 32 lbs, hubby's lost 35 lbs
