Medifast does without a shadow of a doubt work! I started Medifast in May 2009 and by November 2009 I had lost 75 pounds which took me from a size 18 to a size 8.

My family that hadn't seen me in a while almost freaked when they saw me: they were just amazed and I look younger than 43. Medifast does take discipline and I think that is one of the hardest things for people to understand when on the this diet but at the same time, you only have to think about the one lean and green meal that you are going to have during the day which takes all of the guess work and calorie counting away.

You can do anything for a little while for real. I looked at how long it took me to gain the weight and realized that I could invest 6 good months using Medifast to lose weight and be healthier. That was how I approached it and it worked.

I also liked how Medifast gave me energy from the Soy based products. Like Karen said before me, you have to get creative and add spices to some of the meals so that it won't be so boring. The oatmeal can be baked and made into crunchy granola if you don't like the taste of just eating plain oatmeal.

This diet does work. I still order the snacks like cheese puffs, crackers, and crunch bars to keep myself in check during my maintenance phase.
