I am in my late fifties and I never tried a diet program before Nutrisystem, but the weight gradually crept up on me over a few decade. I love Nutrisystem. Did it for about a year and lost the 50 lbs I wanted to lose easily. Never felt hungry except when I got so busy that I was more than an hour late with my meal or snack. Liked the food, added yogurt or other protein and dairy as instructed, added fruits and vegetables mostly from the farmer's market as instructed. In the slightly over a year since then, I regained about 15 lbs because I hit a very low spot financially and was getting about half my food from a food pantry and not doing Nutrisystem at all. Unfortunately food pantry food is rarely diet friendly and certainly mostly isn't super tasty, but when you need it, food pantry food is wonderful - much much better than really going hungry. I have recovered enough financially to restart Nutrisystem three or four days a week and cook my own carefully planned meals much of the rest of the time. Even with occasional fast food burgers on my non-Nutrisystem days I am slowly losing weight. The weight loss is slow because I am choosing to lose weight slowly by doing NS half time which is helping me learn what to eat and how much on the days I cook from scratch. And after eating a lot of boxes of saltines, cans of corn, packaged mac and cheese made with just pasta and water with the orange powder because I didn't have milk and butter or margarine, and being very thankful to have this food.... Nutrisystem food tasted pretty good when I first tried it almost two years ago. Now, by comparison with recent months of bland starchy food, Nutrisystem tastes absolutely wonderful and I savor each bite. I hope to continue doing Nutrisystem half time for years to come. I have lots of variety on the days I cook from scratch, and on the days I am really busy I can count on having tasty Nutrisystem food in less than three minutes. Nutrisystem food doesn't have to be frozen or refrigerated so I can have a boxed Nutrisystem entree and a few Nutrisystem snacks with me every day in case my day suddenly gets hectic - no rushing to the vending machines for "empty calories".

I was very skeptical about Nutrisystem at first, but after 3 weeks I have lost 14 lbs! Very impressed with the taste of the food. Everything I have had was excellent. Not hungry at all. Started walking week 3, hope to lose 3 lbs. / week.

I started Nutrisystem on September 22, 2010. I have lost 7lbs. The program is extremely easy to follow. I am 51 years old. I thought it would be impossible to lose weight. I was wrong. Just stay on the plan, and you will lose.
