I have been chubby all my life and have been on many of the commercial diet plans. Weight watcher is not my thing. On Nutrisystems, I lost 35 lbs. The food was acceptable but you have to make sure you take your daily fiber.

I was on a medically supervised fast called HMR and lost 53 lbs. The classes they had to help us keep the weight off gave me the tools to keep it off for over 3 years (and thats a long time for me). I planned all my meals around getting veggies with a min goal of 5 per day. 3 servings of meat the size of a deck of cards.

Tried Jenny Craig but they had too much dairy on their plan and I was only able to eat 3 of their pre-planned days. Very boring and they wouldnt let me out of my contract because I was lactose intolerant as well as allergic to milk. I lost over 25 lbs in less that 3 months for my wedding on Atkins. I found Atkins the easiest to follow. Once you learn the list of veggies and meats, its a piece of cake. You can easily eat out at any restaurant.

I am now on South Beach, which is very similar to Atkins. Just starting Phase 2 tomorrow and am looking forward to making lasagna with whole wheat pasta and a ton of veggies! It does take a lot of time to plan and cook meals but its real food and I no longer crave sugar or carbs. Hooray!

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who has tried the south beach diet online and how it is working for you. I'm having difficulty losing weight and have decided that cutting out carbs is the way to go!

I tried the South Beach Diet and enjoyed it....It was food I normally eat minus the carbs. The first week was a little tough... but once the 2nd week was over.... you did not crave for carbs and felt full all of the time. If I got a little hungry late at night. I would have hot tea and that seem to do the trick. I also did the dvd 20 min Pilates and got a flat tummy very quickly. I lost 20 lbs in 4 1/2 weeks. & walked 30 min 3-4 times a week. One catch...... I didnt want to leave phase 1 of diet because how well it was working. I once had a piece of cheesecake and the cravings came back instantly.
