The points-based method of Weight Watchers is outdated and doesn’t go far enough to promote healthy lifestyle changes. For better success, stick with diets like Nutrisystem or Medifast Diet.

I personally like weight watchers point system it always works for me I lost 26 pounds and kept it off for 2 years now. I still eat the weight watchers type food in order to maintain my weight. I never join weight watchers when I want to lose more I just go back to the point system which works well for me. It is basically based on fiber, fat, and calories, so you automatically gravitate to low calorie low fat high fiber foods, because they have the lowest points so my cholesteral has gone down. I think it is a healthy and easy to follow diet. It is cheap because you can always buy the smart ones and lean cuisines on sale they have the points on them already.

Weight Watchers is awesome. Those of you who say they don't teach you to eat healthy obviously didn't read any of your membership materials. The whole plan is about choosing healthier foods, but the choice is ultimately left to you. Of course people choose cake over broccoli! That's what got them overweight in the first place!! The basic idea of the plan is not only to eat less, but to make smarter, healthier choices and still continue to manage portions. How is Nutrisystem or Jenny Craig teaching you to eat healthier? By eating pre packaged meals? What in the world could you possibly learn from that? I'm so tired of people complaining this doesn't work or that doesn't work. All these diets, no matter the brand, are about taking in fewer calories to lose weight - it's just a matter of how you do it. I do believe WW teaches you how to eat healthier, lose weight while still eating normal foods. I tried Jenny Craig and felt my entire week was wasted when I had a special meal out unplanned and couldn't eat my packaged meal. And before you think I'm just complaining, I've lost 100 pounds with WW and will celebrate 10 years at goal in 2 weeks.
