The points-based method of Weight Watchers is outdated and doesn’t go far enough to promote healthy lifestyle changes. For better success, stick with diets like Nutrisystem or Medifast Diet.

DO NOT JOIN Weight Watchers online it is a scam. They say you have 7 days free but you really only have 6. When I cancelled on the 7th day, they charged me $65.00 for 3 months. When I called to ask for my money back, they would only refund $5.00 but I could still use it online, and they were sorry…what a joke. The online program is also confusing and lacks the information you really need to be successful.

I myself have done weight watcher and lost the weight. To me its the best program to go with. They teach us what our grandparents and great~grandparents ate (what GOD gave us to eat ). Things that we grew in the gardens many years ago and didn't have a problem eating. I myself crave sweet and salty foods. If you want to loose the weight and keep it off you just don't go back to your old ways after you have reached your goal. You just eat a few more calories to maintain. Don't get me wronge i'm not perfect, I'm about 90#'s overweight as I type , but if I had really stuck with the program for life i'd be better, healthier, liter person. When you go off ww you don't get to eat McDonald's everyday, you can splurge once in a while but you still have to eat your vegs and fruits. and no I don't mean fried veg. I tried to keep it in my head that if it wasn't here on earth 75-100+ years ago then I shouldn't eat it. Think about it, we go to food bars tend to overeat, look how many calories we eat ? Then theres all that fat and msg and good lord to we really know what we are eating ??? I agree that ww does take time to count your #'s.but after you have your favorite foods writen down you also have the points of the food so you wouldn't have to fiqure that up again. Last time I also wrote down a weeks menu and the points. You just take about an hour (at first and make your menu with the points) I've looked into nutri system but cant aford it myself. but for the ones who are good luck to you. I just don't know how when you get to the desired weight and the boxed food quits coming then where do you go from there ? I've decided to do the ww online with some counting and lots of praying.

After joining and re-joining WW a few times, I gave up. I simply could not connect with the program or meetings (I thought it was me but after reading some of the comments here - I feel vindicated!). I do believe WW works if you focus on healthy food choices and are able to give it your undivided attention (meaning you don't work, go to school, or have much of a life!). I found the program to be incredibly time consuming. Not the right program for busy people.

I recently started Nutrisystem. I like the simplicity, structure, and portion control. Anyone attempting to lose weight needs to live in a serious box for awhile as we cannot be trusted and left to our own devices. (ha ha!) Nutrisystem provides the structure I need.

I am thrilled to start the new year with so much hope and the feeling that I can succeed this time!
