Bottom Line
The points-based method of Weight Watchers is outdated and doesn’t go far enough to promote healthy lifestyle changes. For better success, stick with diets like Nutrisystem or Medifast Diet.

I totally agree with Judy. It is hard to follow a point system and count calories when you have to feed kids. This is why WW did not work for me. I would recommend nutrisystem. Everything is laid out for you, delivered right to your door step and exercise is not necessary to lose the weight. Nutrisystem, I found is better for people on the go who want an easy and convenient diet/meal plan.

I totally agree that the WW points system is outdated. I always tended to spend too many points on carbs.

I, too, am a lifetime member with weight watchers. I went on the point system 10 years ago, gained most of my weight back and two years ago, went back to WW and lost all my weight again, using the point system. I lost a little too much weight.

However, after a year and a half, I've gained 70% of the weight back. I only had to lose 20 pounds, but my lifestyle has changed and even though I am retired, I watch my grandkids and I feel like I have less time to take care of me..

I did lose all my weight without exercising. I think this time, although I know WW works for me, it's harder to follow the point system, when you have to feed and take care of kids.

I think I'll try Nutrisystem for a month and see how that goes. .
